Openings for Lubricants Technical Advisor - Front Line Technical Service-Shell-China

Responsibilities: 
Provide technical service to OEM team for growing up sales proceeds, and build up and maintain technical relationship with key account to safeguards existing business.

Accountabilities:
• Provide general technical support to Line of Business (LoB) Sales and Marketing.
• Build up technical customer intimacy with top Key Accounts (KAs) in Auto OEM sector.
• Lead product Customer Value Proposition offering in Auto OEM sector.
• Provide ongoing technical support to Sales to maintain and gain business.
• Correctly specify appropriate Shell products to be used for specific applications, including the specification of equivalent Shell product to replace a competitor’s product, for all lubricants products.
• Quickly and accurately determine customer requirements for technical and product information to resolve the issue first time.
• Problem solving, troubleshooting and application advice for all front lines.
Technical issues:
• Provide technical support during the market launch of new products.
• Prepare customer plant/equipment audits, lubrication surveys, and product rationalization.
• Audits and conduct field trials, as necessary to support the overall business strategy.
• Provide Health, Safety and Environment (HSE), Occupational Health, safety and product disposal advice to customers and front line sales, in line with local legislation requirements.
• Provide product application training & HSE advice to Sales & Customer Service Center (CSC) staff and customers.
• Receive referrals of technical problems or other customer contact from the CSC and work to resolve with the customer.
• Feedback to the CSC to ensure continual improvement in the fielding of enquiries and understanding of technical issues. Pro-actively up date CSC with key customer or product information.
• Liaise with Operational Portfolio Managers for product portfolio issues as appropriate. Manage portfolio harmonization process at customer level, including smooth conversion of customers caused by product introductions and retirements.
• Work with Product Application Specialists (PAS) in their market.
• Solve customer application problems that are complex.
• Transfer knowledge of customer applications & local field problem.
• Facilitate interface with Auto OEM sector OEMs & other Industry bodies on product application and development issues.
• Provide intelligence on new equipment & competitor product applications in their market.
• Run local field trials on new and established products to support Reasons to Believe.
• Feedback to PAS on: business cases, field trials, technical market information and trends, competitor activities, customer feedback.


Requirements: 
·         Bachelor degree, prefer to Engine, Chemical engineering or Mechanical.
·         At least three years work experience in auto/construction/chemical engineering field or a technical lubricants environment.
·         Familiar with industrial equipment.
·         Using Product & Application Knowledge Skill.
·         Strong analytical and problem resolving capability.
·         Good communication and interpersonal skill.
