Responsibilities:
· Lead distributed team of engineers in the development and testing of L2-3 protocols and features in areas such as Broadband Access and Data Center.
· Provide feedback and career growth to employees. Maintain a positive, productive culture and work environment
· Manage the projects and releases directly or through other project managers. Deliver features and products on-time with quality.
· Work with Product Management to help define the L2-3 roadmap and requirements.
· Use input from Product Management to prioritize features and products to meet Ixia’s business objectives.
· Lead by example and establish a team culture that is disciplined, solutions-oriented and customer-focused.
· Establish and direct the short-term and long-term goals for the Platform & Infrastructure organization
· Work closely with key customers to gather requirements or assist them with technical issues.
· Ensure a high level of quality from all releases delivered by the team.
· Develop and champion processes and procedures to meet the evolving needs of the organization
Requirements:
· 6+ years of Software development and management experience with demonstrated leadership skills, project management skills, software development experience, and networking experience
· Experience managing and leading complex software projects
· Experience working with teams spread across multiple geographies working in multiple disciplines.
· Familiarity in multiple programming languages, including C++, and C#.
· Understanding of networking and internetworking, networking and internetworking protocols, state machines, and protocol stacks.
· Experience developing and managing development of enterprise-class distributed-computing software products with a client-server or similar model.
· Understanding of software development “best-practices”
· Experience managing outsourced resources
· Excellent customer relationship management skills
· MS in Computer Science or equivalent
