Openings for Senior Cost Management Tool Cost Engineer –Shell

Shell Projects & Technology (P&T) business provides technical services, technology capability and helps facilitate major project delivery to both the Upstream and Downstream businesses of Royal Dutch Shell plc. The P&T office in Bangalore is the third Shell global centre for technology after Houston, USA and Amsterdam, The Netherlands - delivering advanced technical studies, projects
and services for Shell around the world as well as supporting Shell activities in India.
P&T provides access to cutting-edge Indian talent and resources to Shell worldwide through its research and development facilities in Bangalore. By the end of 2009, the Bangalore office has employed nearly 700 professionals and has plans to grow to 1000 in the near future.
Shell Projects & Technology, Bangalore, is currently recruiting experienced professionals to join the exciting phase of expansion it has undertaken in India.
Responsibilities: 
·         The purpose of this role is to assist in the delivery of the standard Cost Management Tool (CMT) for Shell's capital projects. 
·         The position is suitable for persons with substantial cost engineering practitioner experience and experience in systems roll-out and implementation. 
·         Support implementation on one or more selected projects
·         Support candidate project's Cost Engineers in CMT set-up,including data migration,creation of project structures,phasing and loading of cost forecasts,reporting and report interpretation.
·         Ensure application of Project Control Standard Procedure processes.
·         Provide CMT user training and support,including problem analysis and resolution.


Requirements: 
·         Bachelor's degree in Engineering
·         About 10 years cost engineering and major project implementation experience
·         The candidate will possess substantial experience in the cost engineering domain
·         The candidate will be able to demonstrate detailed understanding and practical ability in the application of Earned Value Management techniques
·         The applicant will be fully conversant with project controls procedures
·         The applicant will have sound knowledge of the Project Finance processes (incl. Requisition to Pay);
·         Application of SAP ERP systems within capital projects and Project Control operations within major EPC organizations.
