Responsibilities: 
·          Provide decision support through business performance analysis and appraisal with regard to variable and fixed costs, cost-to-serve and inventory management. Provides active contribution and challenge to various stakeholders with respect to key Chemicals Operations
·          Appraisal of Operations with strong emphasis on forward looking analysis (e.g. product costs, freight spend, logistics costs, costs for individual supply chains (Cost-to-Serve) vs. margin value, Days Inventory Outstanding, and understanding product losses/gains
·          Interface with Manufacturing on production performance (e.g. yields, utility costs), opportunities for improvement via Ccapex plans and progress and the corresponding benefits realization, and impact of fixed costs performance
·          Drive cost management across Operations. This includes providing input to the Business Plan, ensuring robust cost control with clear accountability and ownership by the business, transparency and adequate challenge, and work with stakeholders to provide forward looking analysis against key performance indicators and identifying further scope for better cost management
·          Perform economic evaluations and challenges of logistics contracts, investment proposals, capital investments, and other projects / initiatives carried out in Operations. This includes compliance with the Investment Decision Manual and cost / benefits tracking of the projects
·          Appraisal of supply contract and evaluate the contracts clauses and economics
·          Leadership and compliance of global transfer pricing and commissions policy and support any tax defence related to transfer pricing for the global chemical business
·          Perform ad hoc analyses on an as needed basis as trends, changing business conditions  and providing strong constructive challenge
·          Improve & streamline Global Chemicals Operations finance tools & processes such as Transfer Pricing, Fixed Costs Reporting & Business Planning, Benchmarking, overlooking Stock Accounting process that spans across Supply, Customer Centres and Global Controllers Finance and influencing actions to reduce inventory losses / gains
·          Work with the business in the application of business and finance risk & controls (e.g. Segregation of Duties, Manual of Authorities, SOx, FCM). This includes driving for consistency globally and application of risk framework in identifying risks and prudent responses
·          Drive overall continuous process improvement and standardization by leading or participating in any finance process improvement projects.


Requirements: 
·          At Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy, Economics or Finance with at least 5 years of Professional working experience in Financial Analysis with strong Controlling exposure
·          Strong analytical skills and a proven track record of project management skills and excellent qualities in managing and interacting with others, across cultural, functional, business areas and geographical differences
·          Possess strong business acumen with excellent communications skills
·          Knowledge of SAP is an advantage though not a pre-requisite
·          Key finance competences in the following areas:
-          Management Information & Decision Support - Drive analysis and processes for effective  cost/value challenge
-          Commercial Activities – Understanding of the supply chain in order to identify savings opportunities and their implications to the business
-          Accounting Operations - Advise on the accounting implications of business issues and ensure shared service centre processes address business needs
