Responsibilities:

Design and develop field programmable gate array (FPGA) features of moderate to large scope. Develop specifications and documents.  Identify factors potentially affecting implementation.  Implement, test and debug features using tools, programming and debugging techniques, as well

as Ixia applications.  Assist in defining Ixia internal development practices and standards.  Identify root causes of bugs and implement bug fixes across an entire product.  Exercise judgment in selecting methods and techniques.  Provide guidance to junior staff regarding FPGA design and development.

Requirements:

·          BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or related, or equiv., plus 6 years industry design experience using VHDL/Verilog.

·         Master’s degree accepted in lieu of 2 years experience. 

·         Knowledge of electronic design automation (EDA) tools and processes, including VHDL/Verilog Coding, ModelSim, Xilinx/Altera design flow and scope/logic analyzer technologies.
