The "middleware" in Ixia's software architecture is used by end-user applications (GUIs and automation scripts) to access embedded, high-performance traffic and transaction generation and analysis capabilities.
Responsibilities:
This software engineer will work designing and implementing the Client Access Library objects for new networking protocols.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in CS or EE or equivalent experience. Must have experience developing commercial software; experience with product development through complete release cycles; experience designing libraries/components to interact with the front-end and the technology engine. 5+ years of hands-on C++ development on Windows and/or Linux platforms (Windows preferred), including using Software Development Toolkits and developing multi-threaded applications. Experience in source-controlled environment e.g. Perforce/Clearcase. Knowledge of IP networking. Must be a self-starter, accustomed to a fast-paced environment.
Desirable:
Object oriented design and coding – use of modeling tools (UML based tools). Knowledge of Tcl, Python. General understanding of statistics and mathematical modeling.
