- Responsibilities
- Understand requirements and identify the requirements those can be automated
- Assess and identify the automation tool that best suite the application
- Work on Automation framework
- Evaluate software requirements and work closely with developers to automate the new requirements before test execution phase
- Setup and configure test environments
- Generate and write clear and concise defect reports and validate bug fixes
- Ensure that the product/application reaches the highest level of quality possible
- Ensure process documentation to create a knowledge base
- Mentor and train the team to ensure that subordinates are developed
- Responsible for performance management of the team and their appropriate career growth
- Mandatory Skills:
- Expert in using automation tools like QTP/Selenium/Watir/RUBY etc.
- Good working knowledge of Windows Server/Linux/UNIX operating systems.
- Experience in developing automation frameworks
- Automation of web based applications in all supported browsers
- Good written and oral communication skills – as this person will be interacting with development teams sitting all over the world
- Good to have skills:
- Knowledge of defect tracking tools and HP Quality Center
- Knowledge of Virtualization technique
- Experience of working in IT organization
- Working knowledge of any database – Oracle, Sybase, Informix, MS-SQL
